At Abacus Therapies, we always try to make our custom ABA sessions fun, interesting, and a real creative boost with our little clients. Just recently, we were making gooey slime from scratch, encouraging our kiddos to experiment with different textures. Learning the letter B had us busy crafting paper bees before we took on another “sea” adventure and then enjoyed a “rollercoaster” ride. Last week, we explored the outdoors, enjoying nature and collecting tree leaves for our “fall tree” projects.
And now, the time has come for one holiday that makes our creativity shine to the max – Halloween!
To help the kids enjoy the season’s spirit fully, we’ve already started with the Halloween preparations. We had our hands full cutting out the pumpkins and creating an Abacus pumpkin last Friday (didn’t it turn out beautiful?), and starting this Monday, we’ve got a full ABA agenda till the big ABA costume-party on Friday:
Mix & Match Mayhem!
Monday, 27th October
Stripes, polka dots, crazy socks — the sillier, the better! This is going to be one neverending pattern party for all the kids.
Sports Day
Tuesday, 28th October
Wear your favorite jersey, hat, or sports gear. Show off your true (sports) colors!
Color Explosion Day
Wednesday, 29th October
Speaking of colors, our ABA center in Charlotte NC is painted in beautiful, lively shades, but on the 29th, it will become even more colorful. This Wednesday, tell everyone about your favorite color by wearing it – from head to toe!
Pajama Party
Thursday, 30th October
Before the big Friday event, we’re warming up with one serious pajama party! Grab your flashlight and come in your favorite PJs. Your beloved stuffed buddy is welcome as well to join us in an ABA “ghost hunt”!
Halloween Costume Day & Trick-or-Treat!
Friday, 31st October
Finally, it’s time for the biggest ABA event of the fall season – Halloween!
Get creative, get spooky, and get ready for lots of joy. Our kiddos will be decorating the rooms, collecting treats, and decorate their own treat bag to store all the goodies and take them home.
Since Halloween is the highlight event of the season, our RBTs will be taking the photos throughout the day to contribute to the families’ photo albums (provided the parents or caregivers have given the permission).
